Hééé Mariamou
Hééé Mariamou is a show created in 1998 by Maïmouna Coulibaly.
Mariamou is a 15-year-old French girl, the daughter of immigrants, raised by her family in the Paris suburbs, in one of those housing projects where dreaming of a future is a challenge in itself.
A carefree teenager, her life is turned upside down the day her mother discovers that "she is learning about sex at French school... "
Through the story of Mariamou and her family, this satirical choreographic comedy humorously and sensitively evokes the problems of integration and the weight of tradition. Torn between two cultures, religion, and traditions, Mariamou must find her place in a world where young women rarely have the opportunity to express themselves.
