Femme entière, culture plurielle
Based on her book “Je me relève” (I Rise Again), Maïmouna offers a lively and embodied reading. She tells her story as the daughter of Malian immigrants born in France, grappling with questions of her origins and dual culture. She recounts the physical, psychological, racist, and sexist violence she has suffered in French society. But she also recounts the path of resilience that led her to transform pain into strength. Dance and theater become tools for survival, reconstruction, and freedom.
